The One Millionth Fiat Doblo Is Produced
The one millionth Fiat Dobl? has rolled off the production lines at the Tofa? plant in Bursa, Turkey.
Having entered production in 2000, the Dobl? immediately became the most widely representative vehicle of both the light commercial vehicles (Dobl? Cargo) and multispace segments. It was the first model planned for export to be built at the Bursa plant, and in less than ten years has achieved the important goal of one million units produced, approximately 70 percent of which sold outside of Turkey.

An ADAC test revealed that no car is more economical than the Fiat Panda Natural Power, which travelled 724 km on just ?30
The German Automobilclub (ADAC) carried out an original test on 241 cars in various categories with different fuel systems. The aim: to cover as much distance as possible on ?30 of fuel. The test was won triumphantly by the Fiat Panda Natural Power, which covered 724 kilometres, equal to the distance between Frankfurt and the North Sea. With the holiday period approaching, this record achieved by the methane-driven Fiat car shows that it is still possible to save when you travel by car.

Fiat: five million cars manufactured at Melfi’s SATA plant
Today the 5 millionth vehicle came off the production line at Fiat Group Automobile’s SATA plant in San Nicola di Melfi (Potenza, Italy), one of the world’s most productive automotive factories. Fiat Group Automobiles and Nokia have announced the integration of Fiat cars with the latest generation of Nokia smart phones. Fiat’s proprietary Blue&Me system will soon enable Fiat customers to use their Nokia smart-phones while driving their cars.A dedicated dashboard mounting, integration with the vehicle’s steering wheel controls and hands free system will allow customers to make full use of the integrated Ovi Maps function that comes free of charge with a new Nokia smart-phone.

Fiat 500C by Diesel launch in Milan

Future Panda at Giambattista Vico plant
Fiat today presented the Minister for Economic Development with the first initiative in the plan announced on 22 December 2009 at Palazzo Chigi in Rome for the upgrading of its auto manufacturing activities in Italy and their adaptation to future requirements.
As part of the Group’s ?8 billion investment programme, a comprehensive restructuring of the Giambattista Vico plant in Pomigliano d’Arco will be carried out to prepare it for production of the future Panda, whose commercial launch is planned for the second half of 2011.

The 500,000th Fiat 500 rolls off the production line
Another important milestone in the history of the Fiat 500 and the Fiat Auto plant in Tychy, Poland, where the car is manufactured. The 500,000th Fiat 500 rolled off the production line there only last week. The car in question was finished in Funk White and powered by a 69 HP 1.2 engine with Start&Stop.
On sale and in demand in 83 different countries around the world, from Italy to Brazil, South Africa to Japan, the new Fiat 500 has reached this historic figure in only 21 months from its launch. The biggest ten markets for the first 500,000 cars have been: Italy (244,755 units), France (58,425), the Great Britain (51,445), Germany (48,319), Holland (13,682), Switzerland (10,765), Spain (10,103), Belgium (9,548), Japan (9,030) and Austria (8,648). It is well worth remembering too that 80 per cent of customers choose the top of the range versions (the Lounge and Sport) which are fitted as standard with Blue&Me.
