Dacia manufactured its 100,000th Sandero

This Wednesday, 13th May 2009, the Mioveni plant gave its 100,000th Dacia Sandero. The car, in red colour, will be sold on the Romanian market.

Since its launch in June 2008, Dacia Sandero has been sold in 38 countries. The car plant in Mioveni adapted to commercial demand by rising its daily output to 610 units. According to market, Dacia Sandero comes in several engine versions: three petrol versions (1.2 16V, 1.4 70 hp and 1.6 90 hp) and two diesel engines (1.5 dCi, 70 hp and 80 hp, respectively). A GPL version has just been launched on certain markets, such as Italy and France.

DACIA LOGAN NOW AVAILABLE IN FRANCE WITH THE 1.2 16v 75hp ENGINE, PRICES FROM EUR7,600

· Dacia’s family saloon Logan is now available in France with the 1.2 16v 75hp petrol engine which has featured in the Sandero line-up since February 2009.
· Order books open across the French network from now on.
· Tax-paid prices for Dacia Logan 1.2 16v start from EUR7,600.
· The 1.2 16v engine is available with the Logan, Ambiance and Laureate equipment levels:

· Dacia Logan 1.2 16v emits 139g of CO2/km, which means it is in the neutral zone of the eco-surcharge or eco-bonus system operated by the French state. Combined cycle fuel consumption has been contained at a low 5.9 litres/100km. The 1.2 16v engine is consequently 15 per cent more fuel efficient than the 1.4 MPI engine it supersedes for the same power output, namely 75 horsepower.
· Dacia Logan 1.2 16v is eligible for the French state’s EUR1,000 ‘trade-in for scrap’ scheme when trading in a vehicle aged 10 years or more.
· Dacia Logan is manufactured in Dacia’s ISO 14001-certified Pitesti plant in Romania. It is also 95 per cent end-of-life recoverable by weight, while five per cent of the plastic it contains are sourced from
recycling. Dacia Logan 1.2 16v emits less than 140g of CO2/km, making it eligible for the Dacia eco? signature, the hallmark of the brand’s economical and ecological vehicles.

Renault guarantees working conditions at Dacia’s Assembly Plant

Dacia’s Assembly Plant received an audit commission in charge with assessing its Management System of Workplace Health and Safety. The Renault specialists granted the certification diploma to the Assembly Plant as an acknowledgement of its compliance to the general workplace health and safety principles.

Dacia makes donations to the rural communities of its employees

Dacia donated 250 computers and a significant quantity of furniture – 124 desks and 118 cabinets – to the Arges County Council. The latter will distribute the objects to 17 local civil services of rural communities inhabited by the majority of Dacia’s employees. The donation comprises furniture and computers that were used on Dacia’s industrial platform and that have recently been renewed.
