The one millionth Fiat Dobl? has rolled off the production lines at the Tofa? plant in Bursa, Turkey.
Having entered production in 2000, the Dobl? immediately became the most widely representative vehicle of both the light commercial vehicles (Dobl? Cargo) and multispace segments. It was the first model planned for export to be built at the Bursa plant, and in less than ten years has achieved the important goal of one million units produced, approximately 70 percent of which sold outside of Turkey.
Waiting for the “Turkish Coffee” coloured Dobl? (built for the local market) to roll off the line were Tofa? CEO Ali Pandir, Minister of Industry and Commerce Nihat Erg?n and several representatives of Ko? Holding, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mustafa V. Ko?. Plant staff and workers, suppliers and dealers also attended the event.
With many trim levels and engine versions, the Fiat Dobl? and Fiat Dobl? Cargo are sold in 80 countries, and ever since their conception have been able to anticipate the needs of customers and offer a leading range as regards technology and innovation.
The latest example is the Dobl? Natural Power. It is the minimum environmental impact version fitted with a specific Euro 5 120 HP 1.4 16v T-jet engine (petrol and natural gas) made by Fiat Powertrain Technologies. It is designed for maximum integration of the two petrol and CNG systems without reducing the volume of the boot, which is still 790 litres and 3200 litres with the seats down.
The new Dobl? Natural Power offers an excellent compromise between performance and fuel consumption: it is agile in traffic but at the same time brilliant on long hauls, considerably cutting running costs in all cases. All this with the additional bonus of allowing the customer to drive in cities where traffic bans or restrictions are in force. The Dobl? Natural Power is therefore the ideal answer for mixed use, and reasserts Fiat’s undisputed world leadership in the field of cars with original equipment (OEM) dual-fuel petrol/CNG engines.
